It's interesting that there are Democrat party officials saying there are going to be some invalid ballots. If I were the Childers campaign, I would want McDaniel to win his challenge and have a new election. That would be 1 or 2 months the GOP candidate won't be campaigning for the general election.

It is only the double voting democrat voters that they should concern themselves with. Going after legitimate democratic crossover voters would be horribly counterproductive.

Those w/ the most interest from the other side here are the most likely voters from said side. It's pretty much a guarantee that if Cochface brought out 35k dems like it's been said, then McDaniel won this easily after the tally is reexamined. If the facts come out in such a way, it will be the most epic embarrassment of gaming votes from the establishment that they'll be tarnished for quite a spell and it will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that fixing an election is quite easy.

They are going after voters who voted in the Democrat primary on June 3, and the GOP runoff on the 24th. That is against the rules in MS. Before the runoff, the 2 parties were supposed to switch poll books at each precinct before the polls opened, where they would have been able to catch it, but they are finding multiple precincts where this did not happen.

That is a strange article. 3/4 of it is devoted to the state Democrat chair's comments. Like that's who you need to talk to when a GOP primary is at issue. WTF is that, Breitbart?

McDaniel was talking a lot about democrats in general crossing over determining the election not just the double voters. Southern democratic crossover voters have been around a long time. Reagan's heavy upset win against Ford in 1976 SC primary was credited to democratic crossover voters.
Many people tried to get blue democrats to crossover and vote for RP. If we go after only black democratic voters that legally crossed over the perception that the tea party is racist will be greatly enhanced.

Why in the world would one look at only black democrat voters for fraud?

Why in the world would one look at only black democrat voters for fraud?Because Cochran went to the heavy black democratic areas specifically looking for crossover votes. It is widely cited that black democratic voters carried the day for Cochran. So any investigation of voter fraud is going to be perceived as questioning the black voters.

He is not going after Democratic voters per se. There is nothing to legally challenge about a Democratic voter that waited to vote in the GOP primary. What he is going after is Democratic voters who voted in the Dem primary and then voted in the GOP primary too. You aren't allowed to do that and all such votes would be invalid. Almost all of these votes are going to be blacks, yes, but that's just because in Mississippi almost all blacks are Democrats and nearly all whites are Republicans. There is no "racial" element to the challenge. McDaniel's people will just be comparing names on two lists.

McDaniels is talking about Democratic voters because the greater the number of Democrats who crossed over, the greater the chance that the election was won as a result of people fraudulently voting twice. If 6,000 Dems voted, you'd need 100% of those to be double voters and that's probably not going to be the case. But with 35,000 you just need a 1 in 5 rate for double voters for the election to have been invalidly decided.

Officials with the Leake County Sheriff's Department confirm that Pete Perry of Jackson was arrested for DUI Saturday night.
A Leake County jailer confirmed the birth date and address of Perry, who is the chairman of the Hinds County Republican Party. Perry is from Leake County but lives in Jackson.
Perry has been at the center of a possible challenge in the Republican primary runoff for U.S. Senate. Supporters of challenger Chris McDaniel have been reviewing voting records in Hinds County since incumbent U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran won the June 24 runoff.
The McDaniel campaign says they have found more than 1,000 illegally cast votes in Hinds County, most centered around voters who allegedly cast a ballot in the June 3 Democratic primary and then voted in the June 24 Republican primary runoff. Perry, however, says that most of the votes cited by McDaniel supporters were actually clerical errors made by poll workers that were later corrected by the poll workers themselves.
McDaniel supporters have criticized Perry's involvement with the elections because his firm received $60,000 during the primary from Mississippi Conservatives PAC, which supports Cochran, to help turn out votes for the incumbent. In Mississippi, political parties and not the state or county run the primary elections.
When reached by political editor Geoff Pender, Mississippi Republican Party chairman Joe Nosef said he had no comment about Perry's arrest.
Political editor Geoff Pender contributed to this report.
