First Rupert Murdoch (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?454269-Rupert-Murdoch-Cantor-lost-my-heart-sank) comes out for amnesty, and now Sheldon Adelson writes an op-ed. Immigration isn't the first thing on the average American's mind, but apparently it is so important to Murdoch and Adelson that they have to write op-eds about it.

This is just like TARP. They will force their plans down our throats, like it or not.

Let’s Deal With Reality and Pass Immigration Reform

By SHELDON G. ADELSON

June 19, 2014

Radio show hosts and political pundits are suggesting that the primary election defeat of House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is the final nail in the coffin for passing immigration reform in this session of Congress. They surmise that other Republicans will be especially reluctant to tackle the issue for fear of losing political support.
...
As a Republican, it’s my view that efforts to complete immigration reform should be led by our party. Some on the outer fringes of the GOP may disagree, but the truth is we are humans first and partisans second. Frankly, the Democrats don’t have a monopoly on having hearts.

I'm glad libertarians are waking up to the fact that open borders + welfare state is far, far worse for liberty than closed borders + welfare state.

The world's worst are pushing for open borders, which is very telling. And they could care less about the people coming and what happens to them.

How dumb and misinformed are the American people when these elites are openly telling us what's coming? It would be funny if the stakes weren't so high.

General David Petraeus, the former CIA director and head of the international forces in Afghanistan (ISAF), has today said that the United States is suffering deeply because of partisanship, and said that the country needs immigration reform.

Gen. Petraeus was speaking on the “After America, What?” panel at the Centre for Policy Studies’ Margaret Thatcher Liberty Conference at the Guildhall in the City of London.

“After America comes North America,” he said, discussing how Canada, the United States and Mexico are set to be a formidable force together, “notwithstanding Mexico’s rule of law issues”.

You can take your North America and stick it up your ass, sir.

Since Adelson has such a big heart, maybe he will put them up in his casino-hotels?

(He'll only charge the government $400/night for the rooms, what a deal!)

Perhaps time has come for bipartisan approach to tackle tough issues.
This might not necessarily be a post election flip flop though:

Coulter unfortunately has not stopped and still continues to do the same.

Trump: If Sheldon Adelson Backs Rubio "He'll Have Total Control" Over Him

TRUMP: I like Sheldon a lot, he’s been a person I’ve known over the years. We have a very good relationship and you know I’m self-funding, I don’t want anybody’s money. If Sheldon gives to him, he’ll have total control over Rubio and that’s the problem with the way the system works – whoever gives.

WASHINGTON — The return on investment for many of the Republican Party’s biggest political patrons has been less than impressive this year. But not for Sheldon Adelson.
Mr. Adelson, the billionaire casino magnate, and his wife, Miriam, a physician, have emerged as the biggest and potentially most influential contributors to Republicans in the midterm season. Despite initially harboring qualms about President Trump’s leadership, the Adelsons have found much to like in a Republican-controlled government that has aligned with their most cherished priorities
