First, a quick stat:

Each YouTube comment may get 1000 views. I explain below...

Also -

I just checked the top ten Huckabee videos and found that the ones that allow all comments have about 1 comment per 100 views.

But this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWUxpS7anpo

only has one per 1228. And golly, sure enough, when I tried to point out that they must be getting 90%+ negatives, I got a "Comment Pending Approval!"

Now read on - this is important:

EACH person can easily reach THOUSANDS of YouTubers very quickly by saving "canned" messages of interest for later pasting into the YouTube comment boxes, instead of taking the time to write them on the fly each time. And it's not spamming, if done right.

Set up your word processor as follows, and you can easily save 475-character sections of any interesting text from articles about Huckabee, and retrieve it later for pasting into YouTube comment boxes, without having to mess with line formatting or character counts each time:

1. Use MS Word, or something that can handle multiple-column formatting.
2. Page width 9 or 12 inches (if you have a widescreen).
3. Each column 2.96" wide, .04" between columns.
4. Page length no longer than to the bottom of the screen (about 7 inches).
5. 12-point fonts.
6. Break/edit text into <475-character sections (including spaces), using the character-count feature .

Spread the comments around wherever you think they're relevant to a video or comment. And by all means, also write as much original stuff as you can.

Fun and easy!

But only use the same message once per recipient/video, and don't use the same message dozens of times.

For example:

"[Huckabee] used public money for family restaurant meals, boat expenses, and other personal uses. He tried to claim as his own some $70,000 of furniture donated to the governor's mansion. He repeatedly, and obstinately, against the pleadings even from conservative columnists and editorials, refused to divulge the names of donors to a 'charitable' organization he set up while lieutenant governor--an outfit whose main charitable purpose seemed to be to pay Huckabee to make speeches.'"

Fits perfectly, with no effort...

One cool thing about article excerpts is that many will Google them, to see where they came from - which will lead them to read much more on the subject. (And use quotes, to indicate when you've excerpted the material from a larger piece they can Google.)

To get the maximum views per posting, again keep in mind that 100 people will see the video (and probably your post) for each one that leaves a comment.

10 comments appear per page, which means the average posting could get 1000 views, before it gets pushed to page 2.

So don't get yourself banned for spamming. There's no need.

If only a few people would syatematically paste a few damning passages every day, there won't be a Huckabee supporter on YouTube who won't be exposed to them - unless they only frequent the cowardly official campaign posters who will tolerate no dissent. (Asking what they have to hide would make for a nicely annoying comment, come to think of it...) But it won't cost you anything to educate them, either.

And don't just stick to the top videos. That 100-1 ratio is probably fairly constant, so the less popular videos will simply have your comment stay there for a month, instead of for an hour.

Whad'ya think about this, people? Easy work for a great cause...

If a moderator likes it, maybe he can sticky this idea?
