Everyone needs to share this and make it go viral so that the people fight against McCarthy becoming majority leader!

Christ, from Jekyll Island down the beach to Amelia Island... you couldn't write a more devious script of insider party elites, planning the next con game to sell to the unsuspecting.

I wonder if Alex Jones and company will be showing up on the beaches at midnight in scuba gear? lol

It would be a good time to use drones with cameras to capture the historic 'Party of One' event.

McCarthy is known as an amicable chameleon:

As Strickland puts it, “Moderates think he’s a moderate. Conservatives think he’s a conservative.” McCarthy’s mentor Thomas applauds this kind of strategic neutrality. “It gives you a greater opportunity to accomplish your goals than if you walk around, sandwich board over your shoulder, telling people where you are and what you stand for and that you won’t budge,” he says.

Still, I wouldn’t bet against him. Whether inviting colleagues for ice cream or having their offices downgraded, the relentlessly upbeat Californian keeps his eyes on the prize. “Very few people have his political instincts,” says Tony Strickland, echoing pretty much everyone I spoke with. More often than not, those instincts help Kevin McCarthy get what he wants.

There's nothing "moderates" about McCarthy and the rest of the GOP inner circle, they are full blown Liberals. McCarthy spreads his votes liberally across the House well. How small or limited government conservative of him...

Or it could be Hensarling...

Stunning defeat for Majority Leader Eric Cantor could boost Jeb Hensarling’s ambitions (http://trailblazersblog.dallasnews.com/2014/06/stunning-defeat-for-majority-leader-eric-cantor-could-boost-jeb-hensarlings-ambitions.html/)

Over the past seven years, McCarthy has amassed a small “kitchen cabinet” of lobbyists whom he works closely with, including Greg Maurer of Facebook; Kirsten Chadwick of Fierce, Isakowitz & Blalock; Dan Meyer of the Duberstein Group and Brian Conklin of USAA. Joe Wall of Goldman Sachs, Amy Best of American Express, Kyle Nevins of Capitol Counsel and Ryan Triplette of Franklin Square Group are also in McCarthy’s circle.

While McCarthy is hardly a policy wonk, at least two industries — tech and energy — are considered big winners if he becomes majority leader.

I don't know about this narrative the Washington Post is pushing that the tea party jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire with house leadership. If you look up the freedom index scores that rates Amash, Lee, Massie and Rand at the top, shows McCarthy 10 points better than Canter. The ACU rating the WP is using shows Bachmann higher than Amash, Massie and Coburn and Cruz above Rand.
McCarthy is not the best choice but I think the WP is trying push the image that the tea party is still a failure.
