That stench coming from your computer wafts from the rank hypocrisy of the “Statement by the Press Secretary on the 25th Anniversary of Tiananmen Square.”
In this latest ham-fisted and oh-so-self-serving propaganda, the United Stasi States’ foremost criminals announce that they “deplored the use of violence to silence the voices of the peaceful demonstrators in and around Tiananmen Square,” even though these thugs silence peaceful demonstrations in and around the ol’ “homeland.”
Not content with that one lie, the “Press Secretary” adds a boatload more [WARNING: Extreme Laughter Alert--may cause broken ribs]:
“The United States will always speak out in support of the basic freedoms the protestors at Tiananmen Square sought, including the freedom of expression,” — right.
That would explain Heroic Ed’s persecution – ”the freedom of the press,” — as well as James Risen’s — “and the freedoms of association and assembly.” Ahem.
I bet the Branch Davidians of Waco, TX, would disagree, had the government that always speaks out in support of the basic freedoms of association and assembly not slaughtered or jailed them all.
“These freedoms—which are enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, the Chinese Constitution, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—are values the United States champions around the world.”
Just not at home.
