Why would Loudermilk be any better than Bob Barr?

Loudermilk would be a fantastic congressman. Barr would be, and has always been, an establishment hack. He was a huge supporter of the Iraq war, the PATRIOT Act, the war on drugs, etc. Congressmen Amash, Massie, Gowdy, Labrador and Jordan are right to stand with FreedomWorks in supporting Barry.

I think Jody Hice (GA-10) will win. I live in his district and his yard signs are all over the place. He also had people canvassing neighborhoods, they came to my house last week.

Kind of hard for Bevin to win today, the primary is tomorrow. I don't know how many calls I have gotten in the past few days, about half are for Mitch McConnell.

I'm in the PA 196th and I'm going to the poll to vote for Elizabeth Roberts. I'll probably leave most of the others blank. Tom "I increased gasoline taxes and spent a gazillion more on education" Corbett? No thanks.

Wolf is strong here, probably because he's local, but he's also been polling well statewide.

God I wish I was wealthy so I could get out of this country.

Pridemore is backed by Renee Ellmers and Bob Barr is backed by birther Arpaio and GOA. DA King is hitting him on his immigration views.

http://rwpc.ellmers.house.gov/members-in-the-news/house-gop-women-play-in-primaries-to-increase-ranks/

Nationally recognized, Georgia-based , pro-enforcement immigration watchdog group announces that Bob Barr has been named “least favorite” candidate in the race to replace Dr. Phil Gingrey in Georgia’s 11th congressional district.

Today, Dustin Inman Society president D.A. King announced his organization’s naming of former ACLU lobbyist Bob Barr as “least favorite” candidate in 11th congressional district’s Republican primary contest for the U.S. House. Established in 2005, this is the first time in the group’s history that such a designation has been made. King says has nothing against Barr personally

That's my point, though. I mean, without knowing Kentucky politics myself or being on the ground, doesn't this pretty much set her up to win? I could be completely wrong, but just going by the numbers.

I'd disagree there. They're against environmental regulation, a lot of them oppose Obamacare, and about 42% of them voted for "uncommitted" over Obama in the 2012 primaries.

Ok, the environmental regulations I agree, since Kentucky does mine a lot of coal. Obamacare, I think many are just against it because it has his name on it, but if you ask them about the "Affordable Care Act" they're all for it and they love Medicaid.

He is pro amnesty. He keeps changing his position. His position 12 months ago was probably the same as Cantor or Boehner today.

He is good on most issues.

He only won the 2010 with 44% because his opponent was endorsed by Eric Cantor (young guns) and McPalin. 50% in the general in the 2010 election.

There was a huge backlash against Larry Craig and his amnesty pushing.

http://www.c-span.org/video/?309448-1/house-conservative-republican-agenda

The immigration debate starts near the end around 45 minutes.

Raul Labrador says we need to solve immigration to get the hispanic vote.

Raul Labrador has been going between the House Judiciary, Luis Gutierrez and all these different groups trying to pass some sort of reform.

Steve King asks where the Ron Paul voters were, where were the millions of conservatives who stayed at home.
Labrador on hispanic voters: "They don't want higher taxes". "They agree with us on social issues". "They agree with us on fiscal issues."

If the majority of Hispanic voters want lower taxes and abortion banned why did California vote for higher taxes and why about the abortion ban in NM?

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/20/us/albuquerque-voters-defeat-anti-abortion-referendum.html

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Proposition_30_%282012%29

Some of the stuff he said is laughable.

Republican Rep. Raul Labrador on Thursday offered a potential immigration deal to the White House, saying the GOP would agree to loosen penalties on illegal immigrants if President Obama would agree to increase visas for foreigners who work in high-tech fields.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/may/8/republicans-look-to-loosen-penalties-on-illegal-im/

The Democrat in 2010 hit Labrador on immigration keeping him to 50%. Mike Simpson is being hit on amnesty. You have to use amnesty if you want to oust people like Bennett, Chris Cannon, Jim Kolbe (resigned), Murkowski, Lugar and others.

And he (Tom Cotton) is also against amnesty.

On the other hand, he is bad on foreign policy and (Bill of) rights. He's also friendly with Bill Kristol and other neoconservatives, which brings into question all of his positions.
