I had a bit of a scare recently. I created a youtube video called "Ron Paul: Troops Are Human" which used a song by an artist named CC Carter. The song title is "Letter From Iraq". I found the song on itunes, purchased it and used a portion of it in the video because it fit really well with the theme.

A few days after putting the video on youtube I got a msg on youtube from CC Carter himself. When I saw the msg I immediately thought.. "Uh-oh he's going to rip me for using his song without asking." Instead he was very supportive and said he loved the video and that it went well with Ron Paul's message.

Since then I've been exchanging emails with him, and I was able to get the guys at Ron Paul Radio to put his "Letter From Iraq" song in the rotation. He also agreed to perform at any Ron Paul rally events if we wanted him to do so. The only catch is that he'd need travel expenses if it was outside of his area of Tampa.

Thought this was an interesting story enough to share...

His web site is http://cccartermusic.com/
(it includes links to the audio of full songs)

And if you haven't seen the "Troops Are Human" video check it out here:

I've also contacted one of the Boston Tea Party rally organizers for him potentially playing live there. Haven't heard back yet though it's only been a day. :-)
