Is there room for a UKIP Party in the US? Seems like it would be paleo-libertarian in nature. Close to the early Tea Party movement, before much of it was co-opted by the establishment and neoconservatives.

The UKIP has been rallying support on many of the same issues that Tea Party and other traditional Reagan conservatives are concerned about in the U.S.—a declining middle class, stagnating wages, unrestricted immigration, an expanding dependency class, and affronts to national sovereignty. People laughed off the UKIP a few years ago, but it has served an important function in forcing the EU-friendly Conservative and Labour Party leadership to defend their abysmal records. Now the mainstream parties are coming closer to the UKIP position on EU membership and falling all over themselves to convince skeptical voters that they, too, are Euroskeptics. Polls suggest Euroskeptic parties could win between 25 and 30 percent of the 751 European Parliament seats. The conversation about a declining Britain (and how to turn things around) is vital—and the elites in both major parties had largely been able to skate on the question—until the UKIP came along.

Does anyone else get the feeling that if the United Kingdom leaves the European Union, the latter will force its member states to embargo the "fascists" for "human rights violations"?

They got to punish dissent, after all. ;)
