HELP, need good intro on monetary system for potential supporter

I'm looking for a good introduction to our current system based on fractional reserve banking and fiat currency, as well as the history that led to it. It'd be good if it points out the (HUGE) flaws in the current system, but is still largely academic. A video would be best, but an article would be ok -- this is for a potential supporter. What's the best out there?

I just recommended that site (and many of the books) on the Sound Money forum. Stay away from The Money Masters. See half of the works in my signature. Better to move this to the Sound Money forum and check out the posts there (ignore jon_perez).
