I'm going to be comms dark today, as I am Chief Poll Judge for my precinct. I've never been a poll judge in my life. Not even an observer. And those silly people went and made me Chief. (nervous as hell about that one)

LOL not without going to jail. But we need honest poll judges too, so I don't feel so bad. However, I am begging everyone I can to GOTV. Shenanigans may happen, but not in my precinct! I AM TEH CHIEF! :p

(and I have to wake up in like 4 hours. I didn't sleep last night so this will be a fun fun day. Gallons of coffee will be had. 3 5hr energies will be consumed. When all is said and done I will probably fall into a coma for 24 hrs.)

Same here - but I can't work the inside of the polls since I'm on the ballot.

This will be a challenge. I check on Twitter for reactions and there's a lot more backing for Twitter than Brannon- at least, recently updated backing, anyway. Twitter's not the ultimate barometer for support, but it is at least a small glimpse.

Great showing of Greg Brannon supporters and greeters in my precinct. They were very vocal and encouraging people to vote for Greg. I was blown away.

I hope this is consistant throughout NC.

Here are some poll worker reports:

Keri - Archers Lodge, NC:
So, I changed precincts because my previous was really slow. I'm down at River Dell Elementary (Clayton area). Best. Decision. Ever! We just got to see a pretty heated confrontation between a voter and a Tillis ambassador. It was AWESOME!! When the voter walked away from Tillis chick, he walked straight to me and said, "Greg Brannon is the real deal. Thank you for representing him".
He walked away and the Tillis chick chased him out to the parking lot screaming at him...... Who knew politics could be so fun?!? Hah!

Ginny - Calabash, NC
My precinct I am working in Calabash has been a steady stream of republicans. No Harris or tillis ppl here. I am getting Greg votes.

Amanda - Garner, NC
I'm the only one at Rand Road elementary school!! No other greeters!! I have to leave at 1:00 for my daughters appointments if anyone can step in!!!

Carole - Huntersville, NC
Ah, kinda ran off a Tillis supporter . My bad. The angry anti-toll voter let him know that he would rather have Hagen then Tillis.

Debra - Rockingham, NC
Lots of Brannon voters in Rockingham co. This morning!

Erich - Winston-Salem, NC
3 hours in & feeling confident. No other US Senate reps!

Encouraging to hear the good news. Hope it's consistent, since voters may turn out in drovers when they get off of work. Keep the momentum going and hopefully Brannon pulls it off so this isn't just wishful thinking or cautious optimism. Keep it up!

Any news? This is one of the most important elections of recent history. Brannon better keep Tillis below 40%.

Everyone has underestimated the importance of this race (especially the media, who once again are in cahoots with the establishment). This is the most important Tea Party, Grassroots vs. establishment race since Rand Paul and Ted Cruz. This is huge. If we beat Rove and the RINOs again, it will show that all their crony money can't stop the grassroots.

AuH20
05-06-2014, 10:45 AM
So they brought in Romney? LOL

http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/run-2016/2014/05/06/rand-pauls-risk-in-the-north-carolina-senate-race?int=a27b09&int=a2bc09

Romney's late-hour blessing – made just as Paul was in flight to the Tar Heel State – was read by Brannon allies as a heartening sign Tillis was sputtering to the finish line. Tillis needs to pass the 40 percent threshold Tuesday night in order to avoid a potentially perilous July runoff. But the most recent public polling has shown him losing ground this past week.

"Worry," is how Paul replied in an interview with U.S. News when asked how he read Romney's move. "Why else? Why would you get involved in a race if you weren't worried about the outcome?”
A graphic reading, "Worry. Why else? Why would you get involved with a campaign if you weren't worried about the outcome?" by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., on Mitt Romney's endorsement of Republican hopeful Thom Tillis in the North Carolina Senate primary Monday, May 5, 2014.

The result now feels so uncertain here that Paul's play for Brannon will inevitably be scored. He will either be credited with helping drag Brannon over the finish line and into an unpredictable 10-week runoff campaign with Tillis. Or his political acumen will be questioned for backing a risky candidate for a seat Republicans desperately need to win this fall.

Brannon is the best, and most consistently Constitutional major U.S Senate candidate in modern history. It he can pull this off, look out for more like him. :D

Wilmington, NC report:

Very light turnout so far.

Got to watch a line of people declare their party affiliation. Every elderly man I saw was a Republican, every elderly black lady was a Democrat. Nobody in-between. I assume everybody else is still at work.

The Dems are showing up because of a very contentious Sheriff's race. Standing Dem Sheriff McMahon is being challenged by the former Sheriff, Reptilian Sid Causey.

Lots of Brannon signs outside the voting place.

Tillis has so many signs around town they don't even register with me anymore, so I couldn't say.

Yeah, I thought it was funny. I was the only person there under 60. Old white men and old black ladies only.

Local conservative radio host has been bashing the crap out of Tillis for months now. Really curious to see how this plays out.

I really believe the only people voting for Tillis around here were persuaded by the commercials running 35 times a day.

Just voted for Greg. I live in a mostly Dem precinct in Char. Turnout is "steady" according to an election official but there was only one person showing up to vote at a time so I doubt it was a high turnout. No signs up for anyone around the poll itself or polling place reps, though the 50 feet rule sorta precludes poll reps since they'd be basically standing in the street. My Brannon sign is the only one for any candidate on the main road by the polling place. The ballot had Tillis in the top spot () and Greg next to last. Figures.
