The students reportedly brought empty cans, empty magic markers, and scraps of paper In their backpacks to make the fireworks. None of the students had any matches.

Maybe they had a half-eaten Pop Tart in the shape of a match.

wow the things you learn. I was not aware you could make fireworks with paper and magic markers. Were they planning on drawing the fireworks?

Ummm when I was a kid we made actual explosives...We had a lot of fun and nobody got hurt...Imagine that.

Unbelievable.

Cans, markers, and scrap paper.

One would think that even in a government school, the teachers and administrators would be required to have some small modicum of... ummm.... EDUCATION, perhaps??? Jeeeeeez!!! Two of those three items can't even burn, and NONE of them will explode!!!!

GGAAAAAHHHH!!

I've hit my limit for societal stupidity today. One more story like this and my head is gonna pop like a REAL firework.
