Since the media wants to change isolationist to mean "someone who wants to trade and be friends but not invade", the Ron Paul Revolution is introducing a new word to the political vocabulary:

Invasionist [I]-noun 1. Someone who advocates invading other countries as a foreign policy (see McCain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jul_Aia50Qo), Giuliani (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uiDpSwsnZq8), Romney, Huckabee (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS3BxggBTa8), Thompson)

This word would completely and totally mock the neocon media's misuse of the word isolationist.

Oh, that is another idea. Lets stop calling the media "the liberal media". We'll now refer to it as "the neocon media" :p

Neocon: "Ron Paul is an isolationist"

Ron Paul Revolution: "Well you're an invasionist"

:p

They will say they are not an invasionst, but rather an interventionist.

The word invasionist would mock their misuse of the word isolationist. I think we should run with this

Actually, we have a word for that: Imperialism.

And one who advocates the practice of Imperialism is an Imperialist.

Imperialists build empires.

George W. Bush is an Imperialist. Hillary Clinton is an Imperialist.

But Imperialist is a dirty word in the media, and many Republicans are afraid of it, because the Liberals and the Progressives have been telling the truth about it and about America for a long time now.

Your not from Texas so I will forgive you this time. You can only add ism or ify to the word that you want like invadeify or invadeism. ;)

Ex: The Untied States is now going to invadeify Iraq and use our superior invadism skills to remove that horrible meany bad guy Saddam from power!

We will be doing this so that we can share our love with the Iraqi people and show them what it really means to loveify other people!

I had this argument with a guy at work who is now a Ron Paul supporter. I wish I had access to this word then. The argument might have been shorter.

I just said, "Well I guess that means China, Russia and Japan are isolationists because they don't have military bases here or in Canada huh?" That made him pause and think.

Colonialism is the most accurate term for neocon policies imo

"Invasionism is a dangerous foreign policy that led to the disatrous Vietnam and Iraq wars. The financial recklessness of invasionist politicians is bankrupting America."

Hmm.. that's a good point. I've never thought about that before. Are we the ONLY country who has bases in different countries?

If so, then certainly the neo-cons cannot say every other free country in the world are isolationists.

I don't know. I know we have at least Aussie, German, and French troops on our military bases for training. Kind of like an exchange student program. But I can't think of a single foreign military base on our soil. I don't if other countries have bases all over the world. Britain might have bases in India...I don't really know.

That's a real word. "Invasionist" means so much more

The 2nd definition for "invasionist" is "F*** You MSM for calling Dr. Paul an isolationist!" :)

I'm going to have to keep bumping this.

The term invasionist will 100% neutralize the "he is an isolationist" smear.
