First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

like you are not a socialist and trade unionist lolThe poem has a deeper meaning than that, but I despise unions. They serve their interests at the expense of poor people who are especially vulnerable to price increases due to union shenanigans. I want public sector unions completely outlawed.

That's unconstitutional. We are absolutely and unequivocally allowed the right to assemble.

That's unconstitutional. We are absolutely and unequivocally allowed the right to assemble.Privately, sure. But public employees, at least in theory, are doing a job for the nation itself. Private sector unions, however damaging they may be, are symbols of assembly. But public workers, by sheer definition, are not supposed to enter that job for self-interest. They accept the job to advance the interests of the government itself. Allowing them to assemble introduces a whole new special interest group that makes it even more difficult to scale back government spending.

What? Government workers aren't supposed to enter a job for self-interest?

What? Government workers aren't supposed to enter a job for self-interest?Absolutely not. They are public servants. That is a widely used term to describe them. How often do you hear the words "private servant"? You don't, because private sector jobs are labor contracts.

I stand with Mr. Bundy because I try to never side with the government unless they are protecting somebody's rights or property.
