I have updated the text on my donation site to say that checks may be made payable to Shem Kellogg for State Rep.
Prior to doing so, the text read that checks may be made payable to Shem Kellogg. I overlooked the fact that this could sketch people out who think I'm pocketing their money.
The whole history for anyone who cares:
I set up a bank account at a new bank specifically for the campaign. My fiscal agent who is experienced at this suggested I just set it up in my name as opposed to some other entity like SK for Rep or Committee to Elect SK. So when I first put up my website I instructed people to send checks payable to me. Some people have given me checks SK for Rep etc. and my bank hasn't had a problem depositing them.
I will have to file campaign finance reports in the fall and in the interest of transparency I will share them here.
