An attendee later handed a reporter a piece of paper that was apparently thrown by the woman. It appeared to be a copy of a Department of Defense document labeled confidential and dated August 1967; it referred to an operation "Cynthia" in Bolivia.

Big media outlets like USA Today are reporting that it was a shoe, GWB style.

I do not approve of the shoe stunt. Violence should be punished (compensate and/or somehow make right again for victim).

Now, let's see what that paper says...

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a piece of paper and the media is covering for Hilldog and making her the "victim", while ignoring the meat of the incident.

Hmm...here's a video. Does look like a heel whizzing past her head. Maybe both a shoe and the paper?

You heard it hear first: shoes, heavy jewelry, water bottles, anything that can be thrown, will no longer be allowed in the presence of royalty like Clinton.

So what if it was a shoe or piece of paper? " What difference does it make?"

She thought it was a bat, and wanted to put it in her caldron with some eye of Newt...

Throwing shoes at politicians should be a protected right.

She's the wicked witch of the West. Forget the bottle, just throw WATER at her, and let's see what happens.

As far as I'm concerned, she's among those who have been complicit in wholesale slaughter and oppression, so she is afforded no protection--certainly not from flying shoes, at least.
