Piryx offers a “thank you” email, a function that unless I overlooked it, Rally does not have.

Prior to Piryx I wrote semi-personal thank yous. Thoughts on if I should switch over to an automated response? And if so, suggestions on the most sincere way I can thank someone via an automated email?

I would not switch to automated thank you notes unless you have no more time to do handwritten thank you notes. And even then, I wold make sure that the top donors got handwritten thank you notes in addition to the automated notes.

As for what to say...let me see if I saved Amash's.

I do not have this year's. but I do have an old one:

Dear Angela,

Thank you for contributing to my campaign to be the next U.S. Representative in Michigan's Third Congressional District. I am committed to bringing restraint, transparency, and accountability to the federal government. The principles of liberty and economic freedom cannot be denied. We must embrace these principles to keep this country great. The consequences of unrestrained spending and our government's increasing entanglement in our private industries and personal lives threaten our long-term prosperity and the liberty of future generations.

We cannot wait another year, or two years, or four. Every day our government is growing and assigning itself new powers that we must take back. Your contribution will make a difference. You can also help by contributing your time, talents, and energy. Please go to my website (http://www.amashforcongress.com (http://www.amashforcongress.com/)) if you are willing to volunteer for my campaign or provide space in your yard or other private property for my campaign signs.

It is my privilege to have your support.

A receipt of your donation is included with this email.

Sincerely,
Justin Amash

Obviously you should tweak it, but I highlighted the phrases I like.
