Al Gore might need to dust off his projector. The creative forces behind the Oscar-winning environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth are hatching plans for a sequel to the film that raised global awareness of climate change. "We have had conversations," producer Lawrence Bender tells THR. "We've met; we've discussed. If we are going to make a movie, we want it to have an impact."

Are they going to say, "surprise, we're still here despite all our dire predictions over the years."

Yeah, I was watching a segment earlier on climate change global warming (what is it this week?), anyway, this guy was repeating the often repeated line about the icecaps on the polls and icebergs melting and NYC ending up underwater.

Really?

Last I checked, water takes up more space when it's frozen, so that would mean a reduction in the amount of water in the oceans. ie: more beachfront property as the sea retracts.

Otherwise, where is all this extra water going to come from?

He also said that it would take at least 20 years no matter what we did, before we would be able to reverse anything...

I was in 5th - 7th grade around 1981-1984ish when they started to make that change. It was a little confusing for a year because they started teaching one and went to the other towards the end of the year. My classmates and I joked that the greenhouse effect would halt the coming new ice age.

Well it's only fair, and it makes sense. It's kinda like how Global Warming was the sequel to Global Cooling. Except now it's in movie form.

Man,, the Push is On.

From the Global Warming "Scientists" getting stuck in the Ice,, To record Cold and a long winter.. they just don't quit.

Even in the face of evidence that the Flawed computer model that all of this is based on was a Farce.

Now comes the real shocker. This improper normalization procedure tends to emphasize any data that do have the hockey stick shape, and to suppress all data that do not. To demonstrate this effect, McIntyre and McKitrick created some meaningless test data that had, on average, no trends. This method of generating random data is called Monte Carlo analysis, after the famous casino, and it is widely used in statistical analysis to test procedures. When McIntyre and McKitrick fed these random data into the Mann procedure, out popped a hockey stick shape!
