A 16-year-old Bronx High School student who was charged with disorderly conduct after he was attacked at Herbert H. Lehman High School was blindsided, his family said Friday.
Stephaun Powell received 20 stitches after being sliced across the face and near his throat by a 15-year-old assailant who blindsided him as he walked through the hallway of his school on March 17, his grandmother claims.
Powell’s family met with high-profile personal injury lawyer Sanford Rubenstein after viewing school surveillance footage that shows the attacker pacing back and forth before jumping the student in the hallway.
They hope to subpoena the Westchester Square school to get control of the evidence in order to have the charges dropped.
