Will Gold Hit $50,000 An Ounce by 2020?!

Ron explains why gold valued $50,000 an ounce is not as preposterous as it may sound and why one thing is for sure: it’s a good idea to own gold and silver for safety, security and insurance.

Big deal. I have it on good authority from a member here that you'll be able to buy a house with 1 Bitcoin by 2030. Not sure if he meant a Coleman camping tent though.

I think I'm going to invest in gold, a little bit each pay day. So fair warning, that if I invest at 1300 an ounce, we will soon see $35.00 per ounce prices. I seem to be the "kiss of death" when it comes to devaluing precious metals and bitcoin

For now with the news of Tampering the gold price will go down further with each announcement & the "FIX" will be in.

Will the dollar drop to 1/50,000th of an oz of gold by 2020?

Ron's argument is that it has done so in the past (by some x-fold of 35?), although that does not mean that it will do so by some time predicted.

And, if it does, those holding gold won't be made more rich but made less poor.

I've been toying with the word wormholing currency. If you've got some cash laying around it might be a time to purchase some commodity that will hold its value as we move into the future.

As you say it won't make you rich, just less poor.

The gold will be gold but the dollar, if things continue the way they have been, will be either up or down. Once you come out the other side your still going to have your weight in gold converted to currency. If it moves up your going to lose some with capital gains taxed. If it moves down your going to be able to write off your losses off and maybe come out ahead of inflation. Kind of weird? No?

Anyway maybe you'll still be somewhere in the ballpark.
