Rudy denying that New York City was a recognized sanctuary city is a very foolish lie of him at the CNN YouTube debate -

That those 70,000 children of illegal immigrants received federal, state, and/or local education funds from taxpayers because Rudy didn't want them on the streets only supports that he encouraged the sanctuary laws which moments earlier in the debate he denied.

It is a fact that sanctuary" laws, which act as a shield for illegal immigrants,
are in effect in locations such as New York City, Los Angeles, San Diego, Houston, Miami and Austin and Montgomery County, MD.
These laws bar police from reporting immigration violations to federal authorities.

As late as on September 5, 2001, Rudy's handpicked charter-revision committee ruled that New York City could still require that municipal employees keep immigration information confidential to preserve trust between immigrants and government.
Six days later, several visa-overstayers participated in the most devastating attack on the city and the country in history.

Rudy's immigration policies also had effects after 9/11 - for example the account of a gang of Mexicans (four of them in the United States illegally) who kidnapped and raped a 42-year-old mother of two in Queens on December 19, 2002.

The lady was brutally assaulted before being rescued by a New York City Police Department canine unit.
The NYPD had previously arrested three of the illegals for crimes such as assault and armed robbery, but these criminals were protected by Rudy's sanctuary policies and hence the police failed to notify the US Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Encourage Dems, Independents and undecideds to tune in to the replay of the CNN YouTube debate this weekend if possible, to see this side of Ghouliani never presented by Moe Hannity or anyone else at the Faux Noise Channel.
