Student, Parents Sue School District Over Handling of `Joke` About Bomb Threat

A student in the Central York School District and his parents are suing the district and two administrators over their handling of a comment the boy made on Facebook about a bomb threat last fall at Central York High School.

"Plot twist: They don't find the bomb and it goes off tomorrow."

People are torn between having the Right to say what they want, and want to have the Right to not be offended by what is heard. No one forces a person to listen.

The very basis of Free Speech is not to protect what people agree with when heard, but the Right to say what others will not agree with.

Extend the scope of what is being banned. ALL offensive words are now being banned, period. Go to school with an NRA t-shirt, grounds for arrest, eat a pizza into the shape of a gun, arrest, even the very word "Bossy" is considered offensive. There is something that will offend damn near every single person on the planet. So whats their solution, protect the Right to say the thing that is Unpopular, or just ban everything that can possibly be said?

Once Free Speech and Privacy are both gone, people will no longer have the ability to discuss the problems, or come up with solutions to the problems.
