With the help of RPF's graphic artists I have launched my Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shemkelloggfornh

Please like and share it!

As I periodically post I hope that you can take a minute to like/comment/share.

After the filing period, I will begin to run targeted advertisements, e.g. residents of my district of voting age who like Mitt Romney, Ronald Reagan, etc. to attract page likes.

Suggestions for regular content?

I'm planning to sign some campaign pledges as the primary approaches and announce them on Facebook. I would like to pay to "boost" my posts announce pledges, endorsements, etc.

I will fill out surveys that groups send to each candidate and I can share these on my wall. Expect a separate thread about surveys.

Any other ideas?

And does anyone have experience using the Facebook mobile phone page app?

Pictures with catchy phrases do well to engage people on Facebook. Look at FreedomWorks or Young Americans for Liberty to see how they get a lot of action.

Targeting is awesome, but make sure you know how your add will be shown. A good targeted add reaches 1000+, but may only have an engagement of 50 or so (that is actually pretty high).

When you boost to your page (and not your targeted audience), you need to make sure the people who like your page are the type of people you want to engage. If you get a bunch of people from the big click farms to like your page you are paying for false "reach."

For as small an audience as you have right now, $5 is a good way to do both targeting and boosting to your likes. You will learn what works and doesn't in a low-cost fashion. I am a big information guy, but you will learn from Facebook that most people aren't, and wordy posts die a fast death of low engagement. Work on getting liberty points down as concisely as possible.

Maybe do one of those pictures with yourself and a quote by you.

I would try to make it as lay as possible so you don't appear radical.
