Wow. The primary match-up is an improvement, but the general match-up is a decline (although to be fair, Brannon held steady at 43%, while Hagan improved her numbers by +3). This means that the primary long knives (whatever they haven't already thrown at him) will come out fast and furious against Brannon. This sure appears to be going to a run-off a la Dewhurst-Cruz.

Trending up, while Tillis is heading down. Brannon CAN win this!

Brannon volunteers are working their TAILS off manning the campaign office call centers down here. Greg is like a freakin' marathon runner, hitting events all over the state almost every day. This is the result of sweat equity and Tillis just being a terrible, terrible candidate. He has a 2-to-1 fundraising advantage and is the only candidate on television, and he STILL can't close the deal.

If ANYONE can call from home, please sign up to do so here: http://gregbrannon.com/ibackbrannon/

Brannon is a political athlete. That's what it takes to win. You have to be willing to do the leg work and put 100k miles on your car.

Fundraising is also key. Brannon has fought Tillis to a standstill using direct mail, phonebanking, and personal appearances statewide. Tillis has been all over TV for almost 2 months. If Brannon can raise enough to get on the air, Tillis is done.

And that right there sums up what candidates around the nation need to do. There are SO many who just slap their name on the ballot, register a domain name and sit back. Then they can't figure out why they lost on election day.

That's one thing I ask candidates wanting donations from me. How many miles have you put on your car? How many events have you spoken at? It takes several months to see the fruits of this labor when you reach a critical mass. Brannon seems to be on the verge of that right now!

That's a pretty embarrassing fall that Tillis just experienced. I wonder if his donors are thinking twice now.

Look for them to try to reinflate the Harris bubble if they do ditch Tillis.

Looking good. Getting him into the senate would be awesome. He's way better than Cruz (and some here really supported him during his primary). Somebody has to take Rand's place in the Senate after he leaves for the oval office.

Brannon will steal Cruz's thunder just like Cruz stole Rubio's upon entering the Senate. I'm loving the intergalactic three-dimensional-chess we're playing here guys!

If Tillis is the candidate Hagan will paint herself as Tillis Plus on Obamacare and amnesty.
