His only major fault in his statement was supporing the idea of searching for contraband. What happens when Ideas themselves become the Contraband to be searched for? I think his ending remark leaves that Privacy door wide open to future invasions, but that part of the speech wasnt prepared, and may have been trying to just get support for respect the 4th Amendment in general.

Ideas could not become contraband without breaking the 1st amendment.
