More than 3,700 early votes cast in a southwestern Indiana county during the 2012 general election went uncounted because of an error by an electronic voting machine technician, officials said Monday.

The Warrick County Election Board reported the error resulted in 3,791 votes going uncounted.

County Clerk Sarah Redmon told the Evansville Courier & Press the error resulted in only 10 percent of in-person, early votes.

Kevin Derr, Democratic chairman for the county east of Evansville, said the problem was discovered by a Democratic precinct leader who recently was cross-referencing precinct summary reports with a state voter history report.

The precinct leader found precinct summary reports of tallied machine and paper votes for Warrick County were 3,700 votes less than the state report, compiled by manually entered voting records, Derr said.

Indianapolis-based MicroVote General Corp., which services the county's electronic voting machines, found that one of their technicians incorrectly uploaded early votes, Derr said.

And coincidently they are all write-ins for Ron Paul. Now in other news, Obama is just so very awesome and Michelle is actually a secret-genius! Now please stay tuned for more updates on Justin Bieber’s retirement and his latest shwing-shwong photos; and you guessed it, Family Guy is coming up next.

Every vote counts. If you don't vote you don't matter. If you don't vote your team won't win.

He who votes has absolutely no power at all. He who counts the votes holds the power of worlds in their hands.

Not that it excuses it either way, but anyone willing to look up what the "results" were in that county?

15,350 votes counted , Romney 62.3% , Obummer 35.7 % , Johnson 2 % . 3700 votes is a large percentage , but no , it would not have changed results.

If Rand Paul could get the nomination , I would surmise he could get the same 82 counties and 54 % of the total vote ....
