Sen. John McCain is the least popular senator in the country of those surveyed by Public Policy Polling, with low marks from members of his own party, independents and Democrats.

Just 30 percent of Arizona voters approve of the job the Republican senator is doing, while 54 percent disapprove, according to a PPP release Thursday. That is the worst of any senator’s polling in the nation that PPP has found.

McCain has said he’s considering running again in 2016, though he hasn’t committed yet to a reelection campaign. McCain is 77 years old.

Flake and Ayotte have been very low as well in the last 12 months.

You wouldn't know it from the people in Arizona who continue to vote him into office? Hopefully the state party censure plus a well polished candidate lead to his dethroning come re-election time.

I didn't quite understand why my family and I were "now all Ukrainians" until I heard we were gonna shill-out about $20 between us for Ukrainian bureaucrats....

as a tax-paying Ukrainian now, can I still criticize this batshit crazy old warmonger?

I thought this poll took place 5 and a half years ago when people were forced to vote for him or "the socialist" and he still lost. You know, because that was our only choices.

They voted for him in 2010 when he decided to drop immigration reform, got endorsed by Sheriff Babeu and Sarah Palin. In 2004 the amnesty debate was barely started. Only Steve King and Tancredo trolling Karl Rove and his hispandering.

McCain kept his word for about 6 months. He was key to the defeat of the Dream Act tuition for illegals.

And somehow people would still vote for him if he were involved in a race today.

This poll did make me stop and think about who my most disliked senator is. You know what, it IS McCain. He is mean as will as insane nothing really is likeable about him.

Sorry, Chucky Schumer is still at bottom as far as I'm concerned.

Graham's the worst. he has competition though. but he's the worst - now he wants to go after the crazy old-man's ability to play poker online. I can almost feel for mcwar on this one.... no, I can't.

I hope Rand doesn't endorse him in his Senate primary in 2016.

McCain is worse because he voted for background checks and is slightly more liberal. Some of the voters in SC like bombing Iran and all this big talk from Graham.

Mine was Lieberman, then McCain, then Graham....thankfully Lieberman retired, so McCain it is, at least for another couple years. Hopefully Graham is primaried out and McCain retires, then I'll actually have to think about this a bit more. :D
