This whole "5th anniversary" thing was a bullshit event to make money for "Tea Party Patriots".
The paid opportunists are still trying to establish themselves as the "real" tea party and to blot out the fact that Ron Paul supporters came up with the idea to hold Tea Parties in 2007 - on the 234th anniversary of the original Boston Tea Party. The late-comers simply copied all the imagery Ron Paul supporters had come up with. This past Thursday was only the anniversary of the non-grassrooted, paid group that calls itself "Tea Party Patriots". Their event was held at The Hyatt Regency, and you had to pay between $48.47 and $132.87 to get in! Highest priced tickets included dinner with Sean Hannity.
I wish Rand Paul and Mike Lee would have, at least, alluded to the truth.
