My mother is the complete opposite. If she wears flats she says she gets tired and sore much quicker than with heels. Every pair of shoes she has has at least some heel to it.

Oh it's not the heel all by itself. I prefer shoes with a heel as well. It's the toe box being utterly triangular, and then the shoe slanting so that your toes are being crushed into one another, sometimes leading to fractures or circulatory issues. Depending on the shape of your foot, it might be a problem, or it might not be. She seems to be doing juuuuuuuuuuuuuust fine, though I am sure you kindly gentlemen will be happy to escort her someplace quiet and get her off of those tired tootsies if necessary.
