Kentucky doesn't have a venue big enough the convention, so Rand will have to drive across the river to get the nomination.

I'd rule out KC and Dallas. KC would be a fairly easy drive for me though.

Both convensions could possibly be in Missouri with the Democratic National Convention meeting in St. Louis and the Republican National Convention meeting in Kansas City. St. Louis came close to getting the Democratic convention in 2012 — by some accounts, it was first runner-up to the eventual winner, Charlotte, N.C. And Kansas City is already on the 2016 short list for the Republicans.
