Good news for Rod Blum!


Surprise! Walt Rogers drops out of 1st District congressional race

Walt Rogers, a Cedar Falls Republican thought to be the leading GOP candidate for Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, is dropping out of the race and will run instead for reelection to the Iowa House.

Rogers made the announcement in an email sent to reporters and supporters on Thursday afternoon.

He cited the time commitment involved in raising money to fund a viable congressional bid as the reason for his exit.

The NRCC has named Rod Blum "On the Radar" as part of their young guns program. http://www.gopyoungguns.com/ He is a great candidate in a very winnable district.
