Incredible story, when you watch the video, you'll hear the internal investigation revealed nothing

A good lawyer demanded all the dash cams evidence and the one of cam videos was never revealed, the cops criminal intent and action which shows... if this guy was convicted, he would of faced a decade in prison. Watch the video

(http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/investigators&id=9440401)COMMENTS:
You hear the cop saying (Setting Up The Victim for the Audio and his dash cam that couldn't see what's going on in the SUV) "stop trying to take my gun" as the guy is laying on the ground Not Resisting. Sounds to me that the cop was trying to cover up his acts and possibly cover up acts that were about to happen by getting his BS request on audio. Too dumb to remember that there's also video. (http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/investigators&id=9440401)

Another case of the prosecution wanting to jail an innocent victim. They knew that guy was innocent, that's why they tried to rush prison time. If not for the lawyer requesting the tape there would've been another added to the prison system that didn't belong.
I bought a dash cam for my private vehicle just to prevent being jerked around by dirty cops. It's really too bad that all the good cops get bad raps because of idiot cops like these.

BLOOMFIELD, NJ (WABC) -- The tale of the police dashcam video has now helped clear a Bloomfield, New Jersey man who faced a multitude of criminal charges, including eluding police and assault.

Investigative Reporter Sarah Wallace obtained the dashcam tapes, and has spoken exclusively with the 30-year old DJ who was looking at years in prison.
It was quite a turnabout, all the criminal charges against Marcus Jeter have been dismissed, and two Bloomfield police officers have been indicted for falsifying reports, and one of them, for assault.
A third pleaded guilty early on to tampering. It's all thanks to those dashcam tapes. It's the video that prosecutors say they never saw when the pursued criminal charges against 30 year-old Marcus Jeter . In the video, his hands were in the air. He was charged with eluding police, resisting arrest and assault. One officer in the video can be seen throwing repeated punches.
Sarah Wallace: "It this tape hadn't surfaced?"
Marcus: "I'd be in jail."
This video was only turned over by Bloomfield police after Jeter's attorney filed a request for records; at the time prosecutors were insistent that Jeter do prison time.
"The first plea was 5 years," said Jeter.
The incident began when cops were called to the Bloomfield home Jeter shares with his girlfriend. No charges were filed and Jeter says he left after briefly talking to officers.
Sarah Wallace: "They say you eluded police."
Jeter: "When they got behind me, I pulled over."
Sarah: "So you weren't trying to escape."
"No." said Jeter.
You can clearly see Jeter pulling over and stopping on the side of the Garden State parkway. The cops pull out guns.
Sarah: "Why didn't you get out of the car?"
Jeter: "Because I was afraid."
Jeter: "There was a cop on my right with a gun, a cop on the other side with a shotgun."
Jeter:"I'm afraid I might get shot."
Sarah: "If you got out."
The tape not initially turned over shows a second police car coming from the opposite direction, crossing the median into ongoing traffic, and then striking Jeter's car. There is no mention of that in any police report. When Jeter first told his attorney that part of the story.
"It was incredible, I didn't believe it at that point in time," he said. He adds, "The next thing I know, one of them busts the door and there is glass all over my face."
SARAH: "Your hands are up."
Jeter: "My hands are up."
Jeter: "As soon as they opened the door, one officer reached in an punched me in my face." He adds, "As he's trying to take off my seatbelt, I'm thinking something is going to go wrong."
Jeter says the officers were hitting him and telling him not to resist arrest. "All I keep saying is I'm not doing anything," he adds. "They handcuffed me and one of them hits me in the back." The attorney for Jeter says while showing Eyewitness News the video, "Here a state trooper arrives on the scene and clearly wants no participation in it and that's where one of the officers punch Mr. Jeter in the head after he was clearly placed in handcuffs," said Steven Brown.
As soon as Prosecutors saw this video, they dismissed all of the charges against Jeter.

Interesting to note, an investigation by Bloomfield PD's scandal plagued internal affairs division had found no wrongdoing by officers.

Brown says, "I believe the blame is with the Bloomfield police department for not providing that tape. If we hadn't had the tapes in this case, an innocent man would be in jail today."

This must be a ploy by prosecutors to try to claim impartiality or maybe even honesty..

I'm not buying it after years and years of conspiring with kops they suddenly turn over a new leaf?

You know there should be a lawsuit against the Bloomfield PD and DAs... because you know that every single case that has involved any of them must be re-investigated and reviewed by independent parties.

Think of all cases and encounters by these cops, PD, and DAs were involved over the years.

Also proves the "Internal Investigations" are just garbage propaganda white washing.

Take that you suckers.

My feel good story of the day. Now if only we stopped entrusting the police department to investigate themselves, that'd be a good start. It's like trusting the Bloods and Crips to investigate every gang-banging to make sure there was no wrongdoing by them.

Chalk it up to CYA damage-control.

There's also the possibility that the DA's office might be genuinely pissed off about this - NOT because of the grotesque injustice, but rather because it deep-sixed a chance for someone to put another notch in the 'ol resume ...

How many times has this happened in the span of a year. Thousands? Tens of thousands? Cops on stands testilying when there is no video evidence. Prosecutors, a particular sub-set of vile lieyers, pleading out a case on trumped up charges. SMDH. They need to be put under the prisons they fill for profit.

Peoples trust of the Legal System only seems to falter when they realize that very system designed to "protect them" is turned to become a tool of their own enslavement. Its not just the DA's or the Cops or the Laws or the Politicians or even the Prison Industrial Complex, but the system itself that has metastocized into something malign and malicious under the burden of its own weight and complexity.

While I do not believe police should exist in the first place,,

I have a suggestion that will cure a lot of this.

Hire Ex Cons for internal affairs. And arm them too.

A while back someone posted a product about the size of a flash drive that you put underneath your rearview mirror and it has one camera facing forward and one facing backward. Does anyone know the name or a link to this product? Stories like these keep reminding me, I shouldn't delay in getting protection for my car. (I do have Qik set up on my phone to stream in 3 clicks.)

Bloomfield's "acting" police Chief got suspended 2 days after accusing town council of corruption on 2/10. Hard to say whether this guy is a whistleblower, or just covering his own ass before the dash-cam thing hit the fan.

"calls my men on a cell phone ... and has them write tickets in his ward."

"He's come to my office... asking for a hispanic officer to be made detective and follows up with "This will solidify your position as chief, and your problems will go away."

"...he asked that 2 hispanic officers be waived up, to take the sergeant's exam. They need 3 years in service - they have 2 years and 4 months. This, he said, would solidify my position as chief.

"Councilman Carlos Bernard came to my office and asked me to fix a parking ticket. He said 'We appreciate the job you're doing Chief. We were leaning towards making you police director, but now we're leaning towards making you chief.'"

(Better watch now, because Bloomfield Town Council keeps having postings of this video removed.)

NEW JERSEY POLICE CHIEF SPEAKS OUT AGAINST TOWN COUNCIL, IS PLACED ON LEAVE
February 17, 2014 - Posted by Joshua Cook

...The 27-year New Jersey police veteran was speaking at a Town Council meeting, discussing the political corruption he was urged to take part in. Less than 48 hours later, he received a letter from Township Administrator Ted Ehrenburg, relieving him of his duties.

In his statement to the Council, Behre explained that he had experienced a lot of harassment in his job, causing significant stress. He said, however, that Councilman Carlos Bernard had made repeated offers for the harassment to stop and the position to be made permanent in exchange for favors to Latino policemen. These favors included pushing Latinos forward in line for Seargents’ Exams, promoting Latinos to detective, and even fixing a parking ticket. He also asked Behre’s men to write tickets in his ward...

"He tried to take my gun" -- a great excuse for a cop to justify doing anything. And this case shows they aren't above lying about that (works better though when there's no pesky video recording).
