Regarding GA's HB 1046, similar to Indiana's "Right to Resist" law passed in 2012, which assures homeowners legal protection if acting to defend their property with lethal force, when faced with un-announced, violent raids from law enforcement.

I'm breaking the link because the guy who runs PeachPundit is a g-damn RINO of the truest sort. The bill's sponsor, Rep. Sam Moore, is catching more flak from so-called "Republicans" than from the democrats over the issue, but that shouldn't surprise anyone here in Georgia.

The Bill:

The establishment hates Sam because he won the District 22 seat in a special election a little over a month ago, after the Tea Party (also hated by the establishment here in GA) shifted their support to the libertarian-leaning candidate—which was like getting a double-fisted-black-eye F*ck-you to the state party.

He's also getting slammed for this one. This is a bill I think needs work, since it would be much easier to change the definitions on what a 'sex offender' is, rather than to do away with a loitering law. But I think the response from the state GOP leaders is still unwarranted. There's plenty of room for amendments to the bill, but they have to make an example of him, and helping him craft a passable bill doesn't accomplish that.

EDIT: Already a thread for this one, see previous poster.
