I'm not sure if it was the creator's intention of the Nov. 30th mass donation to have it coincide in action with the occurrences on the 30th in 1999, 8 years ago. Perhaps it was. But it recently occurred to me that this is indeed the same day that many activists around the world staged actions in opposition to the WTO and Globalism. In seeing that no one had brought this up yet, I thought I would to bring the spirits higher as we make donations today for Ron Paul.

On November 30th, 1999, officials of 150 Governments planned to meet in Seattle for the 3rd conference of the World Trade Organization (WTO), at which they would decide on new policies that would further escalate the exploitation of our planet and its people by the global capitalist system. (http://www.eco-action.org/dod/no9/seattle_proposal.html)

As I don't have extensive knowledge or first-hand experience of the occurrences on that day, please visit these sites if you do not know much about this memorable day.

Or just simply Google "November 30th, 1999".

Here is also, in my opinion, a very good song about the 30th of November in 1999. It is performed by the Blue Scholars (http://www.myspace.com/bluescholars) (Emcee Geologic and DJ/producer Sabzi) and is titled "50 Thousand Deep". Geologic had a first hand experience in Seattle near where the WTO Officials met. No this isn't some sort of plug for them, I just happen to support their message and music and think other people might agree and find inspiration in their song.

Anyway, here's the song:

And please, remember the events of November 30th, 1999 as you donate to Ron Paul today to support him in his opposition to the WTO and Globalization.
