lol that was funny. I think Rand Paul got it from his dad. The man stood up in the middle of a GOP debate and said things he knew he would get boo'd at for saying. Balls of STEEL!

SMDH @ Matthews. Rand Paul does not 'oppose civil rights.' Always has to throw in the subtle lie.

I can't stand Chris Matthews; he doesn't even want to hear the answers to his questions, he just wants to talk and hear himself talk. Why are idiots like this given shows? I honestly can't figure out who bugs me more, him or Piers Morgan. Maybe it's a tie.

To the subject of the video...it's amusing he can't understand why Rand is essentially being different than other candidates/politicians. Why on earth do we need more of the same? We don't. That alone is a great reason.

"Let's put partisan politics aside," then attacks Rand and misrepresents his position on Civil Rights.

Matthews grows more deranged by the minute, that being said, I think the Goldwater kid in him wants to see Rand as the GOP nominee.

Exactly! Rand's whole approach comes in the wake of the way the MSM buried/ridiculed/misrepresented Ron Paul over the years. It's as if Ron's entire two campaigns for President were intelligence operations, to document the establisment's playbook of tactics to marginalize a liberty candidate, so as to carve out for Rand a counter-playbook for how to fight back. It's not yet clear if the precision compromise-and-finesse approach will ultimately win the war, and put Rand in the White House, but it's fun to see him win the battles along the way.

Matthews discussing Rand Paul and the Goldwater analogy after the 2010 election. He calls Rand "the raw seed of the hurricane" (scroll down a bit for the video):

Matthews has been a Democratic hack since his days working for Tip O'Neill. It is embarassing that people like him are put on television as though they are neutral commentators.
