Gay rights was supposed to be the agenda (that's why Pussy Riot was on Colbert the other night...setup piece) for Sochi but Putin personally made sure those reporter's hotel rooms were so shitty (Soshitty Olympics?) that gay rights took a back seat to brown tap water.

From what I have been hearing, nearly all of the hotels where reporters are staying suck but it said that this is because Russia considered them (reporters) the lowest priority and focused on the athletic venues and athletes facilities.
