View Full Version : Rand 2016 Money bomb?

I was recently thinking, what can we do RIGHT NOW to promote Rand 2016? I then came across this story, titled "Rand Paul 2016 has $1.7M in bank" and then it dawned on me that the fundraising race has already really started! Why not do an early money bomb some time in the next 2-3 months to boost that account? I think we should do a quarterly moneybomb for Rand if we can. Even if we only averaged a couple hundred grand out of them it'd be a huge boost, and if we could average anywhere close to 1 million it'd be a game changer!

For those of us who do not really have much money, spreading out donations over an extra year will help us accumulate more income and therefore donate more money over the course of time. I plan on donating regardless, but I think this is something we really need to do in order to get a jump start on 2016. What do you guys think of this? Pie in the sky idea, or valid strategy?

The best time to do it would be for it to coincide with his decision to run, which if happens, would probably be later this year.

The best thing we can do right now to help Rand is to get Greg Brannon elected. Not only will he be Rand's ally in the Senate, North Carolina will be an early state in 2016 and having one of their US Senators endorse Rand would be a huge boost in helping him win the primary.

Eduardo is right as usual/ Focus on Brannon

He might blow it though on useless foreign aid ads again. I say useless because he ran many in races with deeply entrenched Democrat incumbents.

Greg Brannon could use it WAY more than Rand Paul right now, he can actually win this. He might not need much if he wins the Primary, then you could start saving up for Rand 2016.

Would it change any of your minds that Cruz has raised 4.1 million, over double what we have? I think we need to focus on Brannon, but we also need to start focusing on Rand NOW.

No. Brannon and Broun need our focus until the election

Well, what if we planned the bomb for December 16th, 2014? That's after the election, gives us a month once it ends to prepare and really 2 months after most peoples last campaign donations. We have to start as soon as we can.

It's far too early to discuss this Rocco. We have to get Brannon and Broun elected and this is where our efforts should lie
