TSA Harasses Shane Harger, Constitutional Chief of Police Placed On Administrative Leave, Chief Told To Disband Entire Police Department

By Vincent Finelli

Police Chief Shane Harger of the Jemez Springs, NM Police Department was placed on administrative leave and ordered to disband his police department today.

Harger returned from the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association Convention on Monday, January 27, 2014 with a sense of knowing that, he as well as 38 other peace officers, shared the commitment to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America from enemies both foreign and domestic. He and the other 38 men and women signed the Resolution of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (see below).

The following morning, Harger was informed by Sheriff Douglas C. Wood of Sandoval County, New Mexico, that Harger was to dismantle the Jamez Springs Police Department.

A police chief was detained and harassed by federal agents while traveling to a constitutional convention before returning home to be told he was being placed on administrative leave and ordered to disband his police department after signing a pledge to uphold the bill of rights.

Police Chief Shane Harger of the Jemez Springs, NM Police Department was flying out of Albuquerque Airport last week on his way to a Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) convention taking place in Las Vegas. CSPOA is an organization headed up by Sheriff Richard Mack under which law enforcement officers gather to re-affirm their commitment to uphold and defend the Constitution.

As mentioned in the comments there is something else at play. I have never heard of a sheriff being able to disband municipal police. That would be up to the town council. Hmmmm.

JEMEZ SPRINGS, N.M. (AP) - A New Mexico police chief is facing heat after the Transportation Security Administration revealed he had two names.

KOB-TV reports (http://goo.gl/Jch5d8) that Jemez Springs Police Chief Shane Harger was recently detained by TSA agents at Albuquerque International Sunport for having a different name on his boarding pass than his I.D.

The name on his New Mexico driver's license is Braxton Haze.

The police chief said he changed his name in connection with a 2007 case involving former Albuquerque officer Levi Chavez later acquitted of killing his wife, Tera, and making it look like a suicide in Los Lunas.

Harger says he used to be a deputy in Valencia County and was the first to arrive at the scene the night Tera was found dead.

The village council opted this week to keep Harger as chief.

Something else.

Something else indeed.

Was this Chief of Police's reasoning behind changing his name simply because he was first on scene? I would bet not.

And it's incredible to me, having only flown a few times myself, that someone would think in today's day and age that you are going to fly anywhere with the boarding pass not exactly matching the name on one's ID. He should have simply used the name on the ID, whether that was his current name or not.

Kind of peculiar that he changed his name in the first place. And what the article implies it was because of makes no sense whatsoever.

From what I gather,, he changed it to avoid hassles with being associated with the investigation and trial. over the several years that took.

He was using the name "Shane Harger" again because that is the name on his LE certifications.

to the best of my understanding..

(that other case is pretty interesting)

No authority to do so,, but that does not mean the had nothing to do with it.

Seems that Shane Harger has crossed that "Blue Line" in the past,, and is quite aware of corruption. From personal experience.

At a city Council meeting recently Sherrif Harger approached elected officials for answers.

In the meeting, Harger was told by 2 council members that a phone call from the TSA and FBI was indeed made over concerns regarding him and his recent actions.

Clear as Mud.

Looking into that case,,, is bizarre. It is no wonder that he changed his name for a while.

The girl was murdered. And the killer still walks free. As do many police officials that tried to cover it up.

You cleared up why he changed his name. I was a little skeptical but find the story reasonable. Going against the FOP is definitely something that could warrant a name change. The information you provided also gave him credibility in my eyes. I read about these supposed Constitutional sheriffs and cannot find myself sympathetic. I think I think too much. That is, I consider all of the lives they have ruined. My first thought was, "Good. They disbanded a police force." I did not even concern myself with who these police were. I only dreamed such a scenario could happen here. But if these guys are serious about upholding the Constitution and defying their fellow "brothers in blue", I can support that. Him testifying against the police gives him some credibility in my eyes. I'm sure you know how rare that is.

I'm surprised I never heard of the case in question.

So basically, they shut down an entire police department because its chief had 2 names?

Would they shut down the entire US federal government if something something birth certificate something something? :D
