Right now most illegals get paid less than minimum wage. Employers turn to them because they are cheaper options.
If they were to become citizens, they would be subject to the minimum wage and increase the number of workers they would be competing with for jobs.
Maybe I'm wrong, but how does becoming a citizen help illegal workers?
