This guy is also known as NJ WEEDMAN. He's been in the news before, got busted awhile back (was suppose to speak at the NJLP convention but couldn't) I was surprised to hear he was still in jail.

Medical marijuana is legalized in New Jersey but the governor has refused to waive Forchion's sentence

The longtime cannabis activist is also a perennial political candidate in his state

He has recently launched a 'Just Say No to Governor Christie' campaign in response to the latter's reluctance to legalize cannabis

Make sense yet?

Ed always cracked me up. Very optomistic guy. Just look at his van.

And it said he violated probation that stemed from the 2010 arrest.

He knows his tactics, he is the same guy that used jury nulification in 2012 to win against NJ when busted with an "attempt to distribute" amount of pot that he claimed was personal. Seeing him over the years, I believe it WAS his personal amount. Lol!

Update:

A well-known marijuana activist has been released from jail, his attorney said this afternoon.

A Burlington County judge reconsidered the sentence imposed on Ed Forchion, known as "NJ Weedman," after a motion made by his attorney. Forchion's attorney, who asked not to be named, said today the judge re-sentenced his client to "time served," meaning he will not have to return to jail.
