Actually we don't know who shot and killed the suspect. The police did not shoot him; so possibly it was the concealed-carry permittee from Florida lol ... If that's the case, we will never hear about it. Or perhaps, it's Crisisactors.org at it again.

Maryland Mall Shooter Also Had Explosives, Police Say

Jan. 25, 2014

Mall employees and patrons are held in a theater lobby as law enforcement officials speak with them as potential witnesses in a shooting at the Mall of Columbia shopping center in Columbia, Maryland, Jan. 25, 2014.

A man believed to have killed two people with a shotgun at a Maryland mall before shooting himself also had improvised explosives made from fireworks, police said.
The suspected shooter had been tentatively identified, but police had not released his name as of late this evening.
At a news conference this evening, Howard County Police Department Chief Bill McMahon said police were still investigating a possible motive, but they were sure the incident was over.
"We are very confident that it was a single shooter, that there is no other shooter in the mall," McMahon said.
All three of the dead were found in the Zumiez store, and Howard County police identified the two believed to have been shot by the gunman as Brianna Benlolo, 21, of College Park, Md., and Tyler Johnson, 25, of Ellicott City, Md. Both were employees of the skateboard store.
"All of the activity took place at one time, in one store," McMahon said.
Law enforcement sources told ABC News that one scenario being investigated was that it was a domestic dispute involving a man, his estranged girlfriend, and her boyfriend.
Before confirming that, law enforcement was trying to make sure they have the identities of the dead correct, and trying to rule out any other possibilities, sources said.
McMahon said at the news conference that it was too early to speculate on the motive.

This is very good question. Names of victims have been released by shooter's name is still not released.

A witness, Shafon Robinson, said the shooter appeared to be between 18 and 21 years old and was wearing khaki pants and a white shirt. Robinson said a young girl who was with her in the first-floor food court below Zumiez shrieked in fear, prompting the man to look down at them.
"He looked straight at me," Robinson said, and he reloaded the shotgun and aimed it at her. "He pointed the gun at me and looked at my eyes," she said.

Robinson's husband, Terrance Lilly, screamed at her to get down, which she did as a shot went over her head. It struck a wall behind her, spraying her clothes with dust, she said. Another shot hit the cover of a nearby fire extinguisher, Robinson said.

This mall is about 10 miles from me.
Shooter is 19yo ex of the girl
Girl moved to college park 2 months ago.
Has a 2 month old child
child stayed with her a couple of days a week
Likely that the child is the shooters
as to the male victim - wrong place, wrong time. He probably just got in the way.
note the tatoos on the girls upper chest for an indication of lifestyle.
shooting took place in a scateboard and snowboard clothing store where both victims worked.

local reports indicate that the 2 "bombs" were an attempt to make a bomb - and they wouldn't even call them bombs.
he did have lots of ammo though
shotgun purchased in last 2-3 months.
I think you can connect the dots.

Where's that surveillance blimp when you need it?

Exactly. All this surveillance has NOT made any major impacts on the real criminals (thieves, muggers, etc) continuing to commit crimes. What good does it do to record something for protection if that protection is not used? I bought a condom but didnt put it on, now have and STD. Same concept.

At the heart of the story, people got killed because of lack of ability to defend ones self, not because of lack of Police, or Surveillance. Personal Defense is a Personal Responsibility and Personal Right. Without the Right, Ability, and Responsibility, we become dependant on others to defend us from every and all agresses.

[A]s was seen in Boston, difference betweeen between police and military colors seems to be vanishing.

We are being acclimated for the effective de facto (if not actual de jure) repeal of Posse Comitatus.

The "traditional" military won't need to be used to enforce domestic law - because domestic law enforcemt is essentially becoming a military of its own.

Why are they wearing green? Are they in the woods?

They're wearing green because that's a standard color of dress for armies nowadays. Like Root said ...

Still not clear what motivated these shootings:

Why Maryland mall shooting baffles investigators

The Mall in Columbia, Md, reopened Monday. Police say that the suspected shooter, Darion Marcus Aguilar, was a quiet, skinny teenager who graduated from high school less than a year ago and had no previous run-ins with law enforcement.

Columbia, Md.

The mall where a Maryland teenager gunned down two people before killing himself was set for a somber reopening Monday under increased security as police worked to figure out why the shooting took place and whether the gunman knew either victim.

Investigators found a journal belonging to Darion Marcus Aguilar, 19, but they would only say that it "expressed general unhappiness." The contents, however, were enough for an officer looking into the disappearance of Aguilar on the day of the shooting to worry about the teen's safety.

Police said Aguilar took a taxi to the Mall in Columbia in suburban Baltimore (http://www.csmonitor.com/tags/topic/Baltimore) on Saturday morning and entered the building near Zumiez (http://www.csmonitor.com/tags/topic/Zumiez+Inc.), a shop that sells skateboarding gear. He went downstairs to a food court directly below the store, then returned less than an hour later, dumped the backpack in a dressing room and started shooting.

Shoppers fled in a panic or barricaded themselves behind closed doors. When police arrived, they found three people dead — two store employees and Aguilar.
The shooting baffled investigators and acquaintances of Aguilar, a quiet, skinny teenager who graduated from high school less than a year ago and had no previous run-ins with law enforcement.
Aguilar, who had concealed the shotgun in a bag, fired six to nine times. One victim, Brianna Benlolo, a 21-year-old single mother, lived half a mile away from Aguilar in the same College Park neighborhood, but police said they were still trying to determine what, if any, relationship they had.
The other employee, Tyler Johnson (http://www.csmonitor.com/tags/topic/Tyler+Johnson), did not know Aguilar and did not socialize with Benlolo outside of work, a relative said.
