Top television and radio host Glenn Beck (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/glenn-beck/) said in an interview with Megyn Kelly on Fox News that he regrets some of his time at the cable network, when he hosted his own show, and admitted that he ratcheted rhetoric that helped drive a political wedge in America.

“I remember [my time on Fox] as an awful lot of fun and that I made an awful lot of mistakes,” Mr. Beck (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/glenn-beck/) said on Fox News on Tuesday night. “I think I played a role, unfortunately, in helping tear the country apart.”

He also said if he could hit the rewind button, that he’d focus more on uniting, not dividing.

“I wish I could go back and be more uniting in my language,” he said, Politico reported. “I didn’t realize how really fragile the people were. I thought we were kind of a little more in it together. And now I look back and I realize if we could have talked about the uniting principles a little bit more, instead of just the problems, I think I would look back on it a little more fondly.”

Mr. Beck (http://www.washingtontimes.com/topics/glenn-beck/)’s show ran on Fox News between 2009 and 2011. He left to launch his own Internet-based radio and television program, TheBlaze TV. His run on Fox was marked by controversy, inflammatory rhetoric — and high ratings.

The parting of star with network was mostly amicable, he said, Politico reported. And, he specified, any regrets he felt about his time there only spoke to his role — not about the network in general.

I have a love - hate relationship with Beck. I used to listen to him and watch his show regularly and learned a helluva lot. Never knew about Cloward and Pivens, or the damage A.C.O.R.N. did to this country with its fraudulent electoral practices, etc. His book: Arguing with Idiots is informative too.

When he called us terrorists and insulted Dr. Paul, and then destroyed Medina (she sort of walked into it), I gave up on him. Then, he gave Dr. Paul a solid hour on his show (that was when he was still with CNN Headline News), and I sorta tried to forgive his dumbass. Never could stand his side-kicks though.

Attention whore? No doubt. Completely irrelevant? I would say not.

He has nothing to regret, Glenn Beck has been nothing but a tireless patriot and defender of freedom. He and Sarah Palin should be on US currency to immortalise their legacy in fighting for liberty.

OK Beck, tell us the specific names of the individuals that gave you your talking points in the last election and any individuals in meetings that you attended that outlined that strategy for each candidate. If you do that, then I might believe you have "regret". Until then, you're just an attention whore.

Beck can see how big "our" side is becoming.

He either wants to be a part of it or he is trying to co-opt it.

Im thinking its the latter.

Im thinking its the latter. He's been trying to co-opt it for about 5 years now. It's almost time to join ranks with the GOP establishment again though, so he has to step back a bit and reassess right now.

Yep, that's his latest thing. It would actually be quite an accomplishment to have a cable channel that he could control.
