John McCain came in at the "worser" ranking for saying that withdrawing troops from Iraq is considered isolation-type behavior that led to World War 2 and Hitler's rise to power. Olbermann mentioned Ron Paul by name and said that the crowd booed McCain hard for playing the Hitler card.

Good for Keith.

McCain needs to get his facts straight.

The only similarities are that Hitler invaded Poland like we invaded Iraq, and we are also going down the road of becoming a closed fascist society just like Germany.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

Honestly, I think Olbermann seems far more obsessed with O'Reilly than O'Reilly with Olbermann. Then again, it seems like Olbermann just has an obsession with Fox News. He probably devotes more air time to negative stories about Fox than he devotes to actual news.

What's interesting is that Dwight Eisenhower once said something to the effect that preventive war was invented by Hitler, and that he would have nothing to do with anyone who'd propose such nonsense.

Today, I guess, Eisenhower would be called a kook.

Ike may not have been a fan of preemptive war, but he had no problem with secret CIA missions to serve our interest.

I guess one could argue that he did it so he didn't have to do the former, but still, Mosadeq was on his watch, and look who's still pissed about it now

Olberman can be right sometimes.

We had a bill before our statehouse earlier this year that would have essentially decriminalized cannabis. One fellow wrote to his state rep (Delmar Burridge, who was on the committee where the bill was at the time) asking him to vote for the bill. Burridge wrote back that the writer had to stop smoking pot (he never said he did) and Burridge further went on to say that he was forwarding the guy's e-mail to his local police department so they could get him for possesion (yeah, right). We raised a STINK (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v427/jgmaynard/unwanted_burr.jpg) about it, Olberman found out about it, and named Burridge one of his three worst people. Now Burridge seems to have changed his tune and has stated he will work with NH Common Sense and other groups to get some decrim passed in the state next year.
Thanks Keith! :)

Sorry but that is fken retarded.

O'Reilly is a shill for the system & establishment. Olberman is a shill for the democrats, but takes it to the system hardcore.

They both serve a purpose. Olberman is about bashing republicans and ignoring rp... (BUT he's bashing republicans, hello - that helps us) O'Reilly is bash rp, and democrats (doesn't matter to us atm)

Olberman helps us more than O'Reilly... supporting O'Reilly over olberman makes you more likely to be a neocon /republican imo. Fuck that shit.

I've never really watched Olbermann that much. Well, actually, I really don't watch TV much at all. Both times I saw O'Reily (pre Ron Paul even), he reminded me a great deal of this pack of bullies who chose me as their favorite punching bag in 7th grade. (Please note: I'm female not male, great school I went to eh?) Just mean name callers is all they were the only difference I see in O'Reily (I'm sure I'm not spelling his name correctly but I really don't care), is that he uses BIGGER WORDS to say those nasty things to people and just basically treat them as less than human.

I <3'd the video linked above about Habeas Corpus (RIP) by Olbermann and after seeing that I have to ask, why all the h8 m8s??!! That was AWESOME if you ask me.

O'Reilly is a shill for the system & establishment. Olberman is a shill for the democrats, but takes it to the system hardcore.

Yeah, I like Olbermann for that reason too. Taking it to the system. Calling out Our Glorious Leader King Bush on all the transgressions of his administration and usurpations of power. He may or may not be a shill for the democrats, but I will agree that he tilts to their favor sometimes. But for the past 6 years, the democrats haven't been in power, so if you wanted to beat up on the establishment they wouldn't be the ones to attack.

Even though he attacks Republicans a lot of the time, I've yet to see any instance where he was categorically wrong or inaccurate when doing so. I've really tried to look for evidence of that, but everything I've found that purports to "call out" Olbermann on something really lacks substance. I know this is a smart group of people here, so I'm sure one of you could come up with something I haven't been able to find. Show me some real evidence of where he is incorrect - and not just personal attacks like "Olberdouche" and the like - and I'll keep an open mind.

Olberman is about as low in my book as Huffington.

Both pretend to be "anti-war"

and yet..

BOTH are entirely against Ron Paul and to a larger extent, Kucinich... the only two, GENUINELY anti-war candidates in their respective fields.

That, my friends.. is lower than low. I mean, its one thing to disparage Paul bc you agree with the NeoCons... But to endorse an anti-war position, then completely ignore the only two anti-war candidates is just so friggin disgusting I don't even know what to say.

Just to add my two cents in about the olbermann/orielly debate

Last year before I learned about Ron Paul I was fiercly anti O'Rielly. I liked olbermann because the only thing I knew about him was he would call out orielly and Bush on thier war mongering.

Since I got more into politics I realized Olbermann is the equivalent of Orielly. They are both shills for thier respective political parties. Niether is better. They both are the epitome of what is wrong with the MSM

I think Olbermann is a great guy. One of the few people actually doing his job and calling out the President and his cronies. I'm not sure why he doesn't even mention Ron Paul, but that's not a reason to hate him. I can't believe some of you guys actually like O'Reilly. He's a piece of shit who thinks that if you scream loud enough at the person you're arguing with, you will be right.

I like Keith Olbermann. He cannot support Ron Paul because: #1 he wants to have a job, #2 He is a democrat or at least plays one on TV. I think he goes about as far as he can when it comes to calling out fox news and the government, more then any other reporter I seen. Plus I like how olbermann does his news, its actully entertaining.
You can check out more Olbermann in MY videos on youtube.
