It's Christie, good lord, there is so much about him to comment on about his shitty policies, yet people are still over-obsessing about his weight. It's just a topic that distracts most people away from the real issues.

Since when does the media care for real issues?

Yes, it is a disgrace.

Kick him while he's down. We have our chance to destroy him now and we should be taking it.

Then attack him based on his policies, not because he has a shitty diet. This is like idiot Republicans rallying around the "birther" issue when they could have gone after Obama for warmongering, his support of the Fed, and invading peoples' privacy.

Just like the floating fat man would, while downing a doughnut with a rack of lamb....

Well, it is an attack on a scandal relating to him. I just can't see his chief staffer being allowed to run roughshod w/o him knowing about this. This is totally inline w/ how he would act when he was supposed to be campaigning for Romney and his attitude and how he normally comes off as a blowhard is consistent w/ such a personality. Good on Beck for using his influence to attack in this way, I'm sure he's been talking about Christie in other related policy issues. Some people have a certain takeaway value from different levels of attacks and humor is part of it for the average non-in depth thinker. This scandal is actually a big deal and
Rand knows it. When does a guy with a buffoon and loud mouth mentality ever become meek and apologetic? When they're trying to dodge a hollow point.

Christie wants to be President. He is just following in Obama's foot steps. It's the presidential thing to do :toady:

Probably not a good idea to make fun of Christie's weight since 30-50%+ of Americans are overweight or obese...

2/3s are overweight. But only 1/3 are obese. So you only lose 1/3 of the votes.

Only a third? 33% of the electorate is a bigger voting bloc than blacks (13%) or Hispanics (17%), and certainly gays (3.4%), Muslims (0.8%), Jews (1.7%), and Asians (4.8%).

Hopefully they don't have friends or family members. That could equal 100% of the electorate real quick like.

Ummm....Christie is a politician so his weight is fair game...the taxpayers are on the hook for his health care expenses if he develops diabetes or any other weight related illness....who's paying for his weight loss program? I would agree with you if he was willing to pay out of his own pocket instead of sticking the cost of him being fat to the taxpayers.

Obama was (is?) a big smoker, and even went so far as to hide himself during the 2008 campaign so that news photographers wouldn't get a picture of him smoking. Didn't seem to be an issue: the possible costs of his future health insurance to the taxpayers.

Don't worry. Even fat people make fun of other fat people for being fat.

Christie has never been a contender precisely because of the weight issue. Yes there have been obese presidents before but not in the hyper-media exposure society that exists today.

Forget about Christie, he's not worth the attention because he will never be the nominee.

I think his weight is representative of his bloated spendthrift policy making. Therefore completely fair game. Fat F*ck can't control himself with anything.
