Whatever Ron Paul's politic future has in store for him, I think it would be very beneficial if he made a documentary regarding sound money, the Fed, the dollar, and other economic conditions that threaten our country.

It seems like most people know about Ron Paul because of his stance of the war, and challenging other candidates on the war in debates. But one thing that makes us fans so enthusiastic about Ron Paul is outlook at economic issues.

Americans live on soundbytes. Even if you give someone enough time to say what they want, there is often too much noise (ie on Cnbc.) RP's economic outlook is way too complex to understand in a few soundbytes; the non-believers need to see them in full context.

This could be to the dollar as what "An Inconvenient Truth" was to global warming.

These guys are coming out with an economic documentary that shuold be very well done. Apparently, the asked Nancy Pelosi if she wanted to be interviewed for the documentary and to comment on the national debt, she responded, "Who the hell wants to talk about the nation debt?"

P.S. The documentary film we’ve been mentioning from time to time in these pages has met with some early success.
Among 935 documentaries submitted for competition at the Sundance Film Festival, ours was one of 16 chosen for competition. The film’s title, as you may already know, is I.O.U.S.A. We’ve been working with director Patrick Creadon, who had early success himself with his first film, Wordplay – a documentary about The New York Times crossword puzzle editor Will Shortz.

We note that the themes among some of the other films submitted are quite familiar to The 5… the war in Iraq, resource wars in the Congo, oil and greed in America, a global water crisis… it should prove to be an interesting event. The festival takes place Jan. 17-27.
