Security And Prosperity Partnership/North American Union

On March 2005, President Bush, then-Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin first launched the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). This executive branch initiative has been stealthily advanced under the framework of “a dialogue to increase security and enhance prosperity among the three countries.”

The SPP has never been approved by Congress nor even subjected to close oversight by either the House or Senate. It has, nevertheless, resulted in the creation of dozens of working groups involving officials from the United States, Canada and Mexico who generally meet behind closed doors for the purpose of “harmonizing” the laws and regulations of the three countries.

Just one of the many worrisome implications of the SPP appears to be the prospect that the newly “harmonized” border and transportation arrangements will facilitate the shipment of more Chinese goods from Mexico in to the United States–with significant implications for U.S. national security as well as the preservation of American jobs.

As a result of these concerns, Rep. Hunter is a cosponsor of H.Con.Res. 40, introduced by Virgil Goode of Virginia. This resolution expresses the sense of Congress that the United States should not enter in the North American Union or engage in the construction of a super highway system (a.k.a. NAFTA Super highway) with Mexico and Canada.

In addition, during House consideration of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies Appropriations bill for fiscal year 2008, Rep. Hunter offered an amendment to prohibit the use of any funds in the bill for the participation in SPP activities by Department of Transportation officials. The Hunter Amendment passed the House by a bipartisan vote of 362 to 63. Should the Senate take similar action, this will effectively stop their rumored participation in the creation of the NAFTA Super Highway.

Nice find. The values voter debates was for kooks too. Remember when the NAU/SPP question was asked? Seriously, you can fool some people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time. People on the "inside" like Lou Dobbs need to call out this issue. Complete lies and propaganda.

Tancredo is also wise to these things..

Ron Paul
Tancredo
Hunter

ARE the only ones NOT associated with the CFR and coincidently, they are the three that get the most disrespect from the MSM.

I am surprised they did not chime in and agree with him......

I'll have to look at that again. I thought Hunter was one of the co-sponsors of this bill.

Toobin is a Tool. What an idiot. I mean Lou Dobbs talks about the NAU and the Nafta Superhighway. Toobin has been on his show even. (about other stuff of course)

And lastly, no matter what the MSM does to us, we will get stronger. Donate more. They can't scoff at a $20 million dollar quarter. I mean really. That money has to be coming from somewhere right?

Anyway, more and more people are discovering Ron Paul and the Emperor is wearing no clothes. He is more than catching on he is on fire! :D

He is on a higher plane of existence than we mere mortals. He no longer requires vocal chords to communicate.
