Could this be McCain's Dean moment?

not exactly - because the mainstream media will never demonize McCain, the people can, however..

Someone needs to put the audio from Jurassic Park where the guy tries to log into the computer and the fat guy who plays Newman on Seinfeld pops up as says "uh uh uuuhhh, uh uh uuuhhh, uh uh uuuhhh" repeatedly while shaking his head.

Forget demonizing other candidates. We don't have to pull anybody else down to win--our candidate is already head and shoulders above everybody else. We just need people to know who Ron Paul is.

Ron was shaking his head at McCain a couple times that night. When McCain said Bush came from a border state I saw Ron shake his head a bit as well.

It's not nearly as memorable a head-shaking as the one referenced above, but I enjoyed it quite a bit (being from Texas, and being a Bush-hater).

I'm so glad Paul was really smug to him about that exchange AND that the camera caught it. That's the only way you can communicate with someone in power this mentally challenged. If he hadn't of done that many people would've regarded him as a weak punching bag

But that's what makes our campaign so great! We're a 24 hour a day operation. We all contribute where we can.

Besides, getting RP elected is what's important. Let's not lose sight of that! ;)

That was the best part of the debate. I was watching in a student lounge at the university with some meetup members and we all just laughed our asses off. Ron Paul was like "you are dead wrong and you know it".

That moment is frozen in Time for me.

It was like the 3rd time in the debate that McCain had started in on his "I just came back from Thanksgiving with the troops" bit...

Then he pulled that "And they want you to Let them WIN!" crap outta his butt.

And you could see Dr. Paul saw the set-up coming miles away, when he just kinda grinned that "You're making this TOO easy" grin, and started shakin' his head...

McCain's there trying to invoke that mental image of all the troops loving him, and jeering Paul. And I remember thinking "Military Donations! Do it! Do it NOW!"

And then he did.

That was one of the Perfect Moments you just want to save forever! And gives me an idea, 'cuz I'm sure EVERYONE has gone back and looked at that exchange to analyze it.

The next time another candidate tries going after him, as soon as it starts... he should just put on that grin and give 'em the headshake. It'll instantly mess with their head and throw off their timing.

Since Paul isn't known for his "PokerFace", it would be incredibly effective for him. That "Oh SH*T! He's got THAT look!" look.

Dude... you are brilliant.

Maybe that's an effective strategy to step out of the marginalization. The Ron Paul head shake was so effective at displaying confidence and communicating a truth the doesn't seem to get through when put in words - that all the candidates on stage are a complete joke, and Ron Paul, rather than being a nutball fringe candidate like they try to portray him as, can school them all effortlessly if they try to mess with him.

It's so subtle, it's almost like the side door.

That's *exactly* what was going through my head, too. I was practically jumping out of my seat waiting for Dr. Paul to hit him with the military donations thing. Great moment.
