Ok, I haven't seen this discussed much here in the forum. One of our meetup members started going to the church parking lots on Sundays and she said she goes through about 1500 slim jims in a day putting them on cars.

That's a lot of exposure...and church people are active.

Just thought I'd throw that out there...I think about various events and stuff to get the word and compare it to that number. It's definitely a good way to go.

I wish I could afford that much material to distribute. I would have my entire town informed. :)

Please include his Statement of Faith as well...this is critical!

Might be nice to go back and pick-up any mess after everybody leaves the parking lot...

Church parking lot flyers are effective. There's a brochure that's specifically aimed at why Christians should vote for Ron Paul. I don't know though, with Huckabee so big in the race now, most Christians won't do the research but will take Huckster for face value.

We just flyered the church parking lots with an RP pro-life brochure and ran into resistance at the big churches. They didn't want to make it look like they were endorsing any particular candidate, so they asked us to quit and leave. Fortunately, while I was dealing with the free-speech gestapo from each big church, I had 3 or 4 others finish up flyering the parking lot. Hahahahah

There likely is no such law banning flyering in parking lots but they can ask you to leave since it's private property. I suggest doing the flyering about 10-15 minutes before the end of the service so the thought police aren't likely to come take the flyers off the cars and also to start with the back end of the lot and work your way forward. It's less likely they'll be able to see you before you finish!

Good luck. It's well worth the effort! I had lots of positive remarks afterwards from people I knew.

I too have been placing slimjims on windshields at churches, I use this one because it has the endorsement from the Pro Life Committee

Last week as I was putting out the slimjims a senior church member came outside looking a little irate and sound the part as well, telling me I do not have permission to do this. I politely explained a little about Ron Paul and asked him to look at one of the slimjims. After he looked at it for a moment, he told me I was free to continue. I got several churches that putting out at least 1,000 slimjims. :)

If you're going to do this, start with 10 or more people and spread out. Strike suddenly and with overwhelming force so that by the time resistance is mobilized, the battle is already over.

Somebody here tried this and the pastor called the Ron Paul campaign to complain. The campaign contacted my meetup and nobody would admit to doing it. Not sure if it was a random thing or what but we were told not to do it here. :( Anyway, I think it's a great idea so keep it up :D
