It should be noted that all the Senate candidates (minus Tillis) spoke at the event. Usually when candidates win straw polls by a large margin, they're the only speaker at the event but this was not the case here.

Now hopefully such support turns into voting numbers come primary time.

C4GC is a great group. This is a hard-core Tea Party that we brought into coalition with Liberty. I got a great deal of support from them in the NCGOP Vice Chair race, and they took it upon themselves to attend last year's "March Against Monsanto" to draw in folks on the left who opposed corporatism. They are as Tea as Tea gets, and a shining example of how Liberty and Tea can form coalitions when we stop trying to intentionally alienate them.

I really hate to say it, but unlike the Liberty people, Tea people actually show up at the polls. So yeah, this support will translate.

This is, by far, our best opportunity to put another liberty candidate into the US Senate.

Kay Hagan knows it too.

Here's hoping he has the momentum and money. After looking at The Green Papers, it's amazing how much Tillis has to spend:

Tillis:
FEC S4NC00162; 30 Sep 13; Tot $1,089,597; Dsb $250,880

Brannon:
FEC S4NC00147; 30 Sep 13; Tot $273,921; Dsb $162,498

And while some may say money doesn't ultimately matter, it kind of does help a lot, though, especially when going against big money Karl Rove.

Money is huge, not only does it help you run your campaign, but psychologically it makes people take you seriously as a candidate. Also gets you mentioned in the media a lot more.

4:1 is pretty good. For every 1 truth Brannon only has 4 lies from Tillis to compete with.

Yeah, but they also went for Walker by a wide margin. Another soft-on-immigration drone in Congress isn't going to do well by us.
