Any ideas how can we get Tom Woods and Ben Swann on there?

Not sure Tom would do so well with Rogan. He might, possibly, but Stef is probably a better fit for Rogan, even if Stef is much closer to Tom than Rogan when it comes to social views.

Tom is a pretty funny, easy-going guy so I think he could roll with whatever Rogan threw at him.

He might. He's pretty square, though. Tom being painfully aware that he is so square probably would help him, I suppose.

Sam Harris was kind of a big stick in the mud sometimes on the podcast. Made Rogan promise not to advertise or joke around about his Fleshlight sponsor. I can't see Tom pulling anything as square as that.

TW has a great sense of humor though and he's very self deprecating. He'd do just fine with JR.

This was better than their first one. It was nice having Joe playing devil's advocate to everything Stef said. Stef needs more of that: competent opposition.

I enjoyed the last one (even though I don't agree with stefan on a lot of things) so I'll have to check this out at some point, thanks.

We should get something started on twitter or facebook to get Tom Woods and Ben Swann on the JRE podcast. I'm not sure if they realize how enormous Rogan's audience is. Not only is his audience huge, it's also outside the typical circle of people they speak to. Liberty people often fall into the trap of preaching to the choir IMO. Rogan's audience is a completely untapped viewership.

I agree. It would also be nice to see Rogan move away from "new media" people like Abby Martin and Vice.

He would be great! He could discuss virtually any topic at length. I heard him talk about the drug war for about an hour with great insight, since he lived right on the border in El Paso. That is right in Rogan's wheelhouse!

Abby is kind of a tart and not well-read. Vice has become the media arm of Bill Maher ugh. Last time Shane Smith was on it seemed like every time the conversation was veering into criticizing the Obama administration and the U.S. government, he would deflect the conversation to another topic.

Yeah, Shane Smith is also a pathological liar. Probably a good quality to have when you're in the modern "news" business.

Abby Martin strikes me as being an airhead and an opportunist. She is interested mainly in attaching her name to whatever social movement or ideology that might give her street cred and airtime.

Those are my thoughts as well. I'd like to see guests with more substance on there, that's why Woods and Swann would be a great fit.

Curious, why do you think Shane Smith is a pathological liar?

Argh, 3:00 hours. This will probably take me three days to get through, but how can anyone not want to listen to this???

First comment: I love how Stefan is in Joe's head. Joe says there's a lot of things he reads that makes him wonder what Stefan's take would be. That's golden. Joe's got freedom on the brain!

The more anarchists the better I suppose, but I really think Stefan is by far the most cut out for this. He truly is a gem for the cause of freedom.

re: charities and what capitalism is currently doing toward reducing poverty.

Nothing has done more (it's not even close) to reduce world poverty than capitalism.

I loved that Stefan was on JRE just a few episodes after Rosanne Barr was. It made for a nice comparison for the audience. Stefan represents liberty well. Rosanne represents big govt badly. She sounded senile.

An ungodly percentage of the population don't realize that though and they don't learn that in the government schools either. That's why you'll find yourself in this inane debates with people that are in their 20's, 30's, 40's, and older that trash capitalism even though its the reason they are able to survive without starving to death.

The progressives have completely warped this issue and dumbed-down the populous into mindless zombies.

True, but the Republicans/conservatives only offer lip service! It's in the government curriculum and the conservatives did nothing about it when they held the presidency and Congress.

Well, they're just progressives too.

That's why dropping into forums and article threads the fact that both parties are essentially the same is liquid dynamite. Many will deny it, but it will stick with them and echo when they see the farce replicated again and again.

Wow, this was the start of Stefan being thrown to the dogs by some people. Before appearing on JRE, he made a video response (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx_4svbYaDE) to Ana Kasparian from the Young Turks, which was pretty good. Then he went on Rogan's podcast and Rogan came out swinging. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnbR_j12JXk) He brought up the "defooing" and Stefan using copyright to get videos removed from youtube.

Since then, the freedom feens have attacked him (http://freedomfeens.com/2014/08/27/interview-with-colleen-who-defooed-the-cult-of-stefan-molyneux-freedom-feens-live-radio-archive/).

His show has been removed from the rotation at LRN.FM. (http://freekeene.com/2014/08/29/stefan-molyneux-jumps-shark-uses-state-to-silence-critics/)

There have always been some things I didn't like about Stefan but I could say the same about all of the above who are attacking him.
