@bartongellman @ggreenwald noted Spiegel DIDN'T attrib to Snowden, tho said he had docs that showed similar contents.

Glenn Greenwald ‏@ggreenwald 29 Dec
@Cryptomeorg @ioerror I had no involvement in that Spiegel article, ask them - and they don't say those are Snowden docs.

Perhaps earth shattering news, and no one gave enough of a shit to comment.... :(

Good, I hope a massive tome of other documents will be released along side Snowden's.

This is the most recent article I found on the NSA at Der Spiegel (English) but I think most of this info has already been posted here...maybe the tweets are referring to something in the German edition (I can't read German:o)? I sure hope there's another leaker.

You don't need to:

It's this story:

but in Der Spiegel

The problem is that the Spiegel article is bunch of bull, there isn't a "backdoor" in iOS. The iOS operating system is very popular and has been disassembled by many looking for holes and "backdoors" so they could target it. None have ever been found to my knowledge. I believe the NSA would try something like this, but wouldn't be successful unless they had access to the device they are targeting which they could then alter the operating system so that they could install their spyware and have it work.

Indeed, a few of the claims in that article sounded like made-up b.s.

Like beaming microwaves at something to pick up local signal? Yeah, so totally tin foil hat!

Oh, wait!
